ARC welding uses the passage of electrical current to join two similar types of metal. Students in the Lincoln Tech Welding program learn four types of welding:  SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), GTAW/TIG (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding), GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding), and FCAW (Flux Cored Arc Welding).
