Computer & Network Support Technician

The Associates in Specialized Technology degree program at Lincoln Tech’s Allentown campus is designed to prepare you for a career in Computer & Networking Support. The demand for computer networking skills spans most industries in America, and in states like Pennsylvania, this demand is particularly great due to the proximity of jobs in the metropolitan areas of Philadelphia, Scranton, Allentown and Pittsburgh. Combined with the demand for computer networking technicians, this is an excellent time to enter this field.

There is a wide variety of roles and responsibilities for people who understand technical computer issues and can communicate those details to the end user. Technicians in the computer and network support field might not only install, maintain and repair hardware and software, they may also train groups of users during the rollout of new software features. A talented and personable technician is a very valuable asset for any company.

An Associate Degree in Specialized Technology

The Computer and Network Support Technician program at the Allentown campus is an associate degree-granting program. This can increase your earning potential. This training program helps you prepare for industry certification exams, including A+ and Network+, that can increase your marketability to hiring managers, and you’ll gain valuable experience working in the on-site IT repair shop.
