This 1968 Ford Mustang is the actual vehicle driven by Steve McQueen in the classic movie "Bullitt". The license plate is issued by the National Historic Register - only 26 cars since the invention of the automobile have been added to this register. This Mustang is #21 of the 26 total cars.  It shares space on this list with other treasured vehicles worthy of National recognition, including astronaut Alan Bean's Corvette (#25), civil rights leader Esau Jenkin's 1966 VW Bus (#26), and the prototype of the 1948 Tucker (#5).
