With opportunities for skilled, trained welders projected to grow by more than 10% around Indiana through 2024*, it’s the right time to learn how to break into this exciting, challenging profession. Lincoln Tech’s Indianapolis campus is proud to introduce career training designed to meet the state’s need for welders.
Welding and Metal Fabrication Technology is our Indy campus’ newest program offering, and it gives you the opportunity to train with experienced welders who know what it takes to find success in the industry. Welders are needed in industries from transportation to construction, on infrastructure projects and just about anywhere two pieces of metal need to be joined. From basic skills to complex procedures, our welding school in Indiana provides hands-on practice and instruction that will help you learn to cut, solder and weld certified-issued plates and pipes.
Upon completion of your training, you’ll be eligible to test for Level One credentials from the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER). NCCER’s goal is to promote safe and productive working environments for construction professionals.

- Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)
- Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG)
- Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW)
- Tungsten Arc Gas Welding (GTAW/TIG)
