The Indianapolis, IN campus is the perfect place to kick-start your collision repair career! This auto body school features a 63,000-square foot training center that includes 37 auto bays, 16 diesel bays, and 4 collision paint booths. Students have the professional space and industry-specific tools they need to become trained auto body mechanics! Our ASE-certified instructors have a wealth of knowledge about the local automotive industry in Indianapolis. The hands-on training is rigorous: students train to assess damage, repair components, estimate costs and more. The program helps tomorrow's collision repair professionals develop skills like welding, rough sanding, feather edging, priming and finish sanding.
Collision repair training is now available in a convenient Blended Learning format. This curriculum lets you complete some of your course work online, on your own schedule – so that when you’re on campus, you’re focused on building the hands-on skills that employers want to see! Here’s a sample of what you’ll focus on when you’re on campus:
- Remove and replace damaged parts.
- Practice MIG and TIG welding procedures.
- Learn to identify the cause of errors, defects, and other issues.
- Sand, prime, and paint repaired surfaces.
- Use manufacturers’ software to estimate collision damage and measurements.
- Work with brakes, suspension, and air conditioning systems.
- Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical components, and trim to access vehicle bodies and fenders.
I-CAR, the Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair, is a non-profit provider of collision repair industry training standards. Lincoln Tech’s Collision Repair & Refinishing Technology program incorporates I-CAR standards and encourages students to become I-CAR certified technicians after graduation.
ASE, the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence, tests and certifies professionals for excellence in automotive repair and service. Students learn from ASE-certified instructors committed to sharing their technical knowledge.
