Union Campus Auto Student Sydney Taha Captains Race Team

Meet Sydney Taha, a student in the Automotive Services Technology program at Lincoln Tech’s Union, NJ campus. She has her sights set on a future in drag racing, and is already off to a great start as Captain of the Lincoln Tech Union Race Team!

Sydney graduated from high school unsure of what to do next, but she knew she had a natural talent of working with her hands. With encouragement from her mother, she toured the Lincoln Tech campus in Union, NJ and decided to enroll in the Automotive Services Technology program to explore what was possible.

A drive for knowledge and a newfound passion for the automotive industry quickly pushed Sydney to the top of her class. Her dedication, work ethic, and countless extra hours in the shop made her an easy choice by her instructors to lead the Race Team.

The Lincoln Tech Race Team is made up of Honor Society students selected to build, maintain, and repair race cars under the supervision of ASE-certified instructors. The team provides students with an incredible opportunity to gain hands-on experience and take their automotive training to the next level.

We're excited to share that since our interview with Sydney, she has graduated from Lincoln Tech and is now focused on her career with BMW, while continuing to pursue her dream of one day making it to the NHRA (National Hot Rod Association).
