Nurses and Nursing Assistants across the world do vitally important work, and their roles are becoming even more crucial as demand ramps up due to our aging population. Take a minute to say thank you to these in-demand healthcare professionals as we celebrate the 40th consecutive year of National Nursing Assistants Week June 15 to 22.
The Nursing profession remains highly regarded by those inside and outside the industry. A 2015 survey of Nursing professionals in the U.S., for example, found that 85% said they were satisfied with their career choices. “Many times we are gifted with the privilege of seeing rapid results of our caring actions,” notes a post on PracticalNursing.org. “The true benefits of Nursing are felt in our minds and hearts. We have the satisfaction of knowing our work and very presence is important.”
Furthermore, for the 15th year in a row, a recent Gallup poll shows Americans perceive Nursing as the most honest and ethical profession, with more than 80% rating Nurses highly in such standards.
Care of our elderly, ill and disabled citizens is a critical job and greater attention is being directed to the workers who provide direct hands-on-care to these patients. These uniquely skilled, compassionate individuals have chosen to dedicate their lives to the well-being and comfort of others and Lincoln Tech honors them for this work!
