Congratulations are in order for students at Euphoria Institute of Beauty Arts & Sciences in Las Vegas and Henderson, NV! On May 2, students training for Cosmetology, Aesthetics and Nail Technology careers participated in a hair show and student competition presented by the California Cosmetology Association and Barristar Beauty School Forum in Anaheim, CA.
The competition drew students from all over the region with its “Patriotic” theme to mark this election year. Students competed in the Hair, Make-Up, and Nails categories, and Euphoria Institute’s team took inspiration from the Victorian Era and applied that to their trend-setting looks.
Euphoria Institute of Beauty Arts & Sciences was proud to see several of its students take home top prizes:
- Sha Campbell – 1st place in Nails
- Halee Martinolich – 2nd place for Make-Up
- Mabel Aldaz – 2nd place in the Hair category.
The team was led by Euphoria Institute students, Benita Hollie and modeled by Gresil Miranda. Photos of the winning looks can be found on the Euphoria Institute Facebook page.
Barristar Student Competition
The Barristar Student Competition is an exciting event for both the students who participate in the competition and the team captain who helps prepare the students for the competition. Hours of hard work and preparation are logged leading up to the event. To qualify, students must maintain a minimum 85% for attendance and a GPA of 3.0 or better. Students held fundraisers for months leading up to the event to help offset the costs of the trip to California.
There is no better time to become part of a winning team and start on your own path to a beautiful new career – discover hands-on training for the Cosmetology industry at Euphoria Institute of Beauty Arts and Sciences in Las Vegas and in West Palm Beach, Florida!
