Training in a new career is an excellent way to position yourself for a more successful future, and on doing work you can truly enjoy. There are plenty of opportunities around the state of Rhode Island to succeed in career fields that aren’t desk jobs and that don’t require the investment of a four-year college degree.  Best of all, these are careers where you go to work each day knowing you’re about to make an impact on peoples’ lives: people who need medical or dental care, or have suffered injuries or need to “de-stress” to improve their overall health.

One of Rhode Island’s most popular career training schools can be found in the city of Lincoln. Since 2006, the Lincoln Tech Rhode Island campus has helped thousands of graduates begin careers in key healthcare support roles.  Doctors, dentists and other professionals statewide count on Lincoln Tech for candidates who can support their practices as Medical and Dental Assistants, Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Massage Therapists.  There are more than 5,000 positions projected to open in-state in these fields by 2026*, and if you’re looking for better-than-average pay rates, these careers offer that as well.
