Audi Careers Partnership Program Arrives in Mahwah, East Windsor

In September 2015, Lincoln Tech and Audi formalized a partnership to provide career training on Audi models and technology, and to help graduates start careers with a worldwide automotive leader.  This year, Lincoln Tech is proud to announce applications for the Audi Education Partnership Program are now being accepted at its campuses in Nashville, TN, Mahwah, NJ, East Windsor, CT, Melrose Park, IL, and Denver, CO. Graduates can go on to start exciting Audi careers!

PREMIUM LEVEL TRAINING FOR AUDI CAREERS

Audi of America, Inc. has named Lincoln Tech a Premium Plus Level training partner.  Through this cooperative partnership, students from around the country have the opportunity to build enhanced automotive career skills specific to Audi’s technology – and the auto maker can count on a new wave of talent for their dealerships and technician teams!

“The East Windsor campus is thrilled to forge this prestigious partnership to help graduates launch Audi careers,” says Mary Jo Greco, Campus President.  “Our students will benefit from OEM [Original Equipment Manufacturer] training by advancing their technical skills.  Their participation will demonstrate their professionalism and dedication to the automotive field.”

At last year’s inaugural event in Mahwah, Matt Shepanek, Audi’s National Manager of Technical and Collision Training, said Lincoln Tech has a great base of young automotive talent – talent that industry leaders need on their teams if they’re going to continue to pace the field.

“Dealerships can’t find enough skilled, qualified technicians to fill their staffing needs,” Shepanek explains.  “Within Audi, we plan to grow our technician workforce from 2,900 to 4,500 in the next five years.  We want to educate young technicians about career opportunities in our company.”

Greco points out that Audi’s presence in the training facilities at Lincoln Tech has been well-received by regional dealerships.  “New England Audi dealers are staunch supporters of this initiative,” she says.  “They’re anxiously looking forward to Lincoln Tech at East Windsor becoming the area’s first choice resource for entry level Audi technicians!”

Through the Audi career program, students in Lincoln Tech’s Automotive Technology with Audi Education Partnership training program will take additional courses in Audi-specific servicing, maintenance and roadside assistance skills.  Audi has provided the curriculum and equipment for the program – including late-model Audi vehicles that will provide students with real-world training opportunities.

In Mahwah, Automotive Technology daytime graduates have gone on to start new careers with some of the New York-New Jersey area’s most prestigious dealerships – 93%* of Mahwah graduates were placed in the field after they completed their training!  At the East Windsor, Nashville and Denver campuses, students come from all over the country to train and live on campus.  Their skills can be in demand nationwide – nearly 200,000 Automotive Technicians are projected to be hired around the country by 2024**.
