Lincoln Tech in Denver Hosts Top Fender Competition

In a competition combining academic know-how and technical expertise in Collision Repair and Refinishing Technology, the Denver campus of Lincoln College Technology challenged students to put their skills to the ultimate test in the school’s recent Top Fender Competition. The 2-day event began with a written qualifying exam, and the five highest scorers were then invited to show off their repair and refinishing talents in the next day’s hands-on portion.
Contestants for the hands-on challenge were judged on the quality of their work, not only their speed, as they repaired damaged fenders to I-CAR (Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair) standards. Prizes were donated from vendors such as LKQ, 3M, Snap On, and Napa Auto Parts.
One of the oldest and most established Denver technical colleges, Lincoln College of Technology offers training not only in Collision Repair, but also in Automotive Technology, Diesel & Truck Technology, HVAC and Welding.
