DJ Envy, Lincoln Tech Celebrate High School Talent at Pep Rally

When it comes to auto mechanic tools, Matco is the name to know.  In 2016, the worldwide leader entered into an agreement with Lincoln Tech to provide toolkits for students around the country training to become automotive technicians.  And in November, Matco and Lincoln Tech teamed up to donate an auto workstation and tool storage unit to a northern New Jersey high school whose students understand the value of hands-on training for careers in the automotive industry.

Clifton High School in Passaic County, NJ, has seen over 400 of their graduates enroll for career training at Lincoln Tech campuses in Mahwah, Paramus, and South Plainfield since 2010.  Thomas Sciascia, Director of Admissions at the Mahwah campus, says Clifton High School is setting their students up for success by providing them with opportunities to learn not only about four-year colleges, but about shorter, more direct pathways to rewarding careers as well.

“Clifton High School is a valued partner of Lincoln Tech,” he says.  “The administration allows us to present to all of their seniors each year, and they are very supportive of giving their students every opportunity to see what options are in their best interests.”

“The instructors and staff there know the importance of alternative types of education that don’t fit the mold of a four-year degree,” he adds.  “I believe they are fully aware of the opportunities that we offer which can lead to careers that are in-demand in New Jersey, and are potentially lucrative fields as well.”
