  • Classrooms and labs equipped with alternative energy technologies like fuel cells, photovoltaic systems, wind turbines and more are all in a day’s training for Electrical and Renewable Energy Technology This program was designed to meet society’s continuous demands for high and low-voltage electrical support in business and residential settings.

Connecticut is expected to add thousands of jobs over the next 10 years* in fields like healthcare, skilled trades and culinary arts. This is an ideal time to start on a new career path. Hiring managers are searching for candidates with the right skills and necessary training to fill these open positions. Students get the skills they need to land the job at all three Lincoln Tech Connecticut campuses – New Britain, East Windsor and Shelton.

Things to Know About Lincoln Tech in New Britain

Here are just a few reasons why the New Britain campus has everything you need to put your potential to work:

The campus is celebrating its 50th year on John Downey Drive. That’s right, things are looking golden in New Britain. Who knew when the campus opened in 1968, that 50 years later over 325 students a year would be building brighter futures in New Britain!

Friends in all the right places. Graduates of New Britain are enjoying success at places like New England Mechanical Services, Solvit Home Services, A-1 Services, Griffin Electrical Contractors, Siemens, Network Installation Services, Medi-Weightloss, Starling Physicians, West Hartford Medical Center, Aaron Manor Nursing, Bel-Air Manor, Sheridan Woods Health Care Center and the American Red Cross.

Dressed for success - and fun!  Medical Assistant students get to participate in Fun Scrubs MA Day. To raise money for local charities and food shelters, the students pay $1 to dress in the wildest, most colorful scrubs they can find!

Great taste is always on the menu!  EJs Food Truck can be spotted on campus from Spring through Fall. Make sure to get on line for a yummy breakfast sandwich! For a fresh take, Stew Leonard’s Market draws crowds year round.

Local HVAC businesses helped create a Green Technology Training Lab. Led by F.W. Webb, a wholesale distributor of commercial, residential and industrial products, local companies came together to help students prepare for exciting careers and key industry certifications by donating equipment.

Instructors that really make the grade!  Among the most sought after instructors on campus are multiple award winner Leroy Gay from the Electrical program, and Medical Assisting instructor Amy Koehler, a mother of five, who somehow makes the time to pursue a Master’s Degree in Public Health, while leading classes at Lincoln Tech!
