Lincoln Tech Introduces Dental Assisting Training To Its Somerville Campus

With job opportunities for Dental Assistants projected for double-digit growth in Massachusetts between 2010-2020*, there’s never been a better time to train for a career in this hands-on, patient-focused field!  Beginning this July, the Somerville, MA campus of Lincoln Technical Institute is now the third Lincoln campus in the state to offer Dental Assisting training that can help you launch a rewarding new career where you’ll playing a leading role in dental patient care.

Dental Assistants work side-by-side with dentists and patients to ensure procedures are performed smoothly, efficiently and comfortably, and are employed in private practices, public clinics, pediatric offices, orthodontic practices and more.  Lincoln training for Dental Assisting careers includes hands-on experience in Dental Chairside Assisting, Dental X-Ray, Laboratory Techniques and much more!  You’ll build your skills on patient simulator manikins (Typodonts) to practice safety measures, infection control techniques, exposure, processing, mounting, and storage of patient X-Rays, use lab materials to make prosthodontics like temporary crowns and bridges, and prepare to sit for the Radiation Health and Safety (RHS) and Infection Control (ICE) portions of the Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) exam.
