Day Eight of Lincoln Tech’s Thirteen Days of Christmas

When it comes to holiday gift giving, it can be difficult trying to figure out what gifts would make really great impressions. That’s why we turned to Lincoln Tech instructors from all of our campuses. We asked them to send us gift ideas for their students. No ugly sweaters, no fruit cakes, no silly ties. We wanted gifts that would be appreciated and actually used. When the replies started rolling in, we were inspired to create a cumulative blog series, “The Thirteen Days of Christmas at Lincoln Tech.”
We did run into a small jam this week while making and checking lists. Some well- wishing holiday carolers dropped off Six Geese a Laying. It’s been quite cold here in NJ, even got our first snow, and the geese were a bit chilly. Thankfully some Electronic Systems Techs from Columbia, MD, sent us a custom heat lamp set-up that did the trick!
No matter what holiday you celebrate this time of year, remember, it’s better to give than to receive. So if you run into a Lincoln Tech student, you’ll know how to make their holidays happy!
On The Eighth Day of Christmas at Lincoln Tech, instructors asked for an Immersion Circulator and Sous Vide Cooker …
… a Snap-On Electronic Torque Wrench, an Ohms Law & DC Circuit Trainer, a Dial Bore Gauge, an Air Impact Gun, a DJI Image Professional Inspire Drone, a Suture Removal Simulator, and a 34 Channel USB Logic Analyzer.
Sous vide is a cooking technique where food is sealed in a plastic bag and cooked in a water bath. The technique uses temperature control to deliver flavorful results. “I think an Immersion Circulator and Sous Vide Cooker would be a great gift because it’s a piece of equipment that’s prevalent in modern kitchens and food service establishments,” explains Chef Ted Redos from Lincoln Culinary Institute in Shelton, CT.
Turn a Love of Food into a Career You’ll Love.
Cooking isn’t just something you do – it’s an exploration into ingredients and flavors from around the globe to create works of art, with plates as your canvas.
Students that train in the Culinary Arts and International Baking and Pastry programs in Shelton learn from master chefs and bakers in fully-equipped European style kitchens.
Help us celebrate the holiday season by checking back in every weekday to read all about “The Thirteen Days of Christmas at Lincoln Tech.” If building a new career is on your own personal Wish List, reach out to a Lincoln Tech school near you.
